Dirty Money
'No Escaping This' is some record. Blending a love of NYHC with some more modern influences Dirty Money have recorded a remarkable debut. The anger drips off the vinyl - 'this is england' at its worst : no hope, no trust and no future. These lads are genuinley pissed off and the music reflects that.
The new tracks are 'No Escaping This', 'Mind In Pieces', 'Dead Mans Shoes' and 'Its Real'. A progression from the demo but not in a bad way. This is a loud and brash mission statement born out of dark capital city nights. F*ck it - don't listen to me doing the hard sell. Listen to Dirty Money.
The demo is included on the CD and its these tracks that made us lose out mind in the first place. The Jesus baiting 'No One' and the carnage that ensued on one memorable night in Liverpool stick out from the bands formative months. Fans of the demo will fall in love with 'No Escaping This' which will make catching the band live your number one priority of 2008. Dirty Money have just finished touring mainland Europe and the UK with their friends in Cold World.
They have just released the incredible split with Trapped Under Ice from Baltimore and the tracks are the best Dirty Money have released so far, with 'Hollow Shell' in particular showing their love for the greats like Breakdown, If you like them, you NEED to have this record !
They are currently holed up writing their debut LP which is as of yet untitled but will be released on Dead and Gone at the tale end of 2009. Expect more HARD songs with loads of earth shattering mosh parts and Grahams distinct northern vocals. This record WILL be one of the best records released this year !
Dirty Money remind us why we LOVE hardcore. God is fake – Dirty Money IS real.
