What is this?
This is a labour of love. D&G was started to release the In the Clear
LP in 2001. This was the band I sung for and as it was breaking up I
decided it to 'Do It Myself'. D&G is now approaching its 40th release
and it wouldn't be worth a dime without the support it gets from the
hardcore community, all the bands that we have released and everyone
who helps push this along. We got lucky and started to release records
in the midst of a UKHC boom I started another band called The Last
Chance and we played out each weekend with Spitfire Down, The Legacy
and The Break In whose records followed quickly after. The Last Chance
led to me meeting the guys in Justice and one thing led to another and
the world went mad. D&G became a much bigger beast than was ever
intended so it has had to been reigned in., The real world, work,
babies and reality have caused this to be case. D&G was never intended
to be a money making machine (good job) and if the label seems to be
quieter than it used to be....then it is! There are some releases I am
not proud of and some which have totally bombed. Bands have come and gone....as have friendships BUT so many
good times have been had. This is it. Dead & Gone Records in the
summer of 2009. We have just released the Ironclad EP (sooo good) and
repressed 'Soft Clicks'. D&G 39 and 40 will be with you soon enough.
